NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware women's soccer team continues its Colonial Athletic Association schedule this weekend when the Blue Hens head south to take on William & Mary and Elon.
Delaware will face the Tribe on Friday at 7 p.m. and the Phoenix on Sunday at 1 p.m., with live video and live stats available for both matches.
The Blue Hens, who are 3-12 overall and 2-4 in league play, are looking to turn things around by snapping a four-match losing streak. Delaware is one of four teams with six points in the league standings, with the top six teams advancing to the CAA Tournament which begins on Oct. 30.
Delaware closed out its home schedule last weekend by falling to UNCW, 1-0, and the College of Charleston, 4-2, at Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium. Madison Brosler scored the Blue Hens' first goal against the Cougars on Sunday, while Natalie Zelenky added her team-leading fifth goal of the year. Zelenky now has scored 24 career goals, tying her for seventh place in school history.
William & Mary enters Friday's match with an 8-6 overall record, and the Tribe also has six league points with a 2-3 conference mark. William & Mary opened its CAA schedule with a 3-0 win over James Madison, and after dropping three straight matches, posted a 1-0 shutout at Hofstra on Sunday. Sarah Segan is tied for second in the conference with a team-leading eight goals for the Tribe, while Rachel Moore is tied for fourth in the CAA with five assists.
Elon, which is 7-7-1 overall, also has six CAA points with a 2-3 record heading into its home match against Drexel on Friday. The Phoenix had won four of five contests, before falling at Hofstra and Northeastern last weekend. Erin Tanhauser and Tori Ballatico have each scored four goals for Elon, while Susannah Anderson has dished out a team-high four assists.
William & Mary leads the all-time series with the Blue Hens, 12-2-3, and the Tribe have taken the last three meetings including last year's 2-0 triumph in Newark. Delaware and Elon are tied 1-1-1, while the Blue Hens recorded a 3-0 shutout a year ago behind two goals from Zelenky.
Following this weekend's action, the Blue Hens wrap up their 2016 regular season with a road match at Drexel on Sunday, Oct. 23.
