Delaware Plays to 0-0 Draw with Drexel; Just Misses CAA Tournament Berth

Drexel (8-6-4, 4-2-3 CAA), which stumbled to a mark of 0-1-3 over its final four regular season games, still managed to earn the No. 2 seed for upcoming CAA Tournament.
The Dragons outshot the Hens by a wide 22-11 margin Sunday but Delaware got an outstanding game in goal from junior Kailyn Rekos, who turned back nine shots to keep the Hens in the game. She finished with a league-high 110 saves on the season, the second highest total in UD history and most since Melissa Kulp had a school-record 152 in 1996.

• Delaware went 1-3-1 in overtime games during the season
• The 13 losses is the most in a season for Delaware, surpassing the 5-12-1 mark in 1998. The Blue Hens bounced back and advanced to the league semifinals the following year
• The tie was Delaware's only draw of the season and first in 25 games since a 1-1 tie with Towson on Oct. 4, 2015
• The game marked the Hens first scoreless tie since an 0-0 deadlock vs. Drexel in Philadelphia on Oct. 4, 2014
• The seven senior who closed out their UD careers were Carolyn Seltzer, Michelle McEnroe, Nikki Adams, Mikala Kin, Natalie Zelenky, Madison Brosler, and Mary Aleixo. Zelenky closed her career as Delaware's No. 6 all-time career goal scorer with 25
