Expected Frigid Temperatures Move Delaware Lacrosse Games Ahead to Friday

NEWARK, Del. -- Due to expected frigid temperatures this weekend, the University of Delaware men's and women's lacrosse games scheduled for Saturday have been moved up a day and will now take place on Friday.
The Delaware men's lacrosse team (0-1), which was scheduled to host Mt. St. Mary's (0-0) Saturday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m. at Delaware Stadium, will now host the Mountaineers on Friday, Feb. 12, at 12 noon.
Tickets to the game will go on sale beginning at 11 a.m. at the Delaware Stadium Ticket Office.
The Delaware women were scheduled to open their 2016 season Saturday at Georgetown University at 1 p.m. but that game has also been moved up a day due to cold temperatures. The Blue Hens and Hoyas will now meet on Friday at 4 p.m. at Cooper Field in Washington, D.C.
Saturday's weather forecast for Newark was for afternoon temperatures of 17 degrees with 23 mile per hour winds and for Washington, D.C. was for temperatures of 20 degrees and 24 mile per hour winds at game time.
Friday's gametime forecast for Newark is 27 degrees with 9 MPH winds. For Washington, Friday's gametime forecast is for 33 degree and 9 MPH winds.
