Hens Continue to Roll with 5-2 Win over George Mason

ELKTON, Md. – Delaware returned to the court for the first time in nearly three weeks and registered its third straight victory Saturday evening with a 5-2 decision over George Mason at Elkton Indoor Tennis.
The Blue Hens (3-1) led off the evening by sweeping the team doubles point for just the second time this season.
In top flight doubles play, sophomore Amanda Studnicki (Normal, Ill./Normal West) and junior Denny LaMachia (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton) paired for a 6-4 win over Brittany Pilkington and Sydney Green.
Freshmen Sara Komer (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) and Draga Sabotic (Okemos, Mich./Okemos) then captured the 6-3 decision against Marijke Boers and Morgan Yang in the second slot.
Freshman Annie Jaskulski (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) and sophomore Arielle Shuren (Montebello, N.Y./Suffern) wrapped doubles action by defeating Esu Erdenebat and Nicole Haigwood, 6-3.
In No. 1 singles, Studnicki posted a 7-5, 6-4 victory against Pilkington while LaMachia defeated Green, 6-2, 6-3, in No. 2 singles.
Jaskulski collected the 6-3, 6-4 win over Boers in the third flight.
Sabotic rounded out the evening's play with a 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 decision against Olivia Lacy-Thompson.

· Delaware has collected 19 consecutive wins against George Mason since 1992.
· Annie Jaskulski and Amanda Studnicki have each won three straight singles matches.
