Delaware Tied For 17th Place After First Day of Kiawah Island Spring Classic

Andi Slane and Vimonthip Benjasupawan each fired four over par rounds of 76 on the par 72, 5,964-yard Osprey Point course, ending the day tied for 58th place in the individual standings. Slane posted birdies on the seventh and 13 holes during her round on Sunday, while Benjasupawan notched birdies on the first and 14th holes.
Nathalie Filler and Vitoria Teixeira each recorded a five over par 77 during their rounds and are tied for 78th place, with Filler posting a team-high three birdies on the day and Teixeira adding two of her own. Valentina Mueller is tied for 95th place after carding a six over par 78 while fellow freshman Ashley Dingman, playing as an individual, fired an eight over par 80 to end the day tied for 124th place.
The second round of the three-day invitational will take place on Monday, when the Blue Hens will play the par 72, 5,901-yard Oak Point course.
