HARRISONBURG, Va. – Delaware returned to Colonial Athletic Association action Tuesday afternoon but the results were not in its favor as James Madison defeated the Hens, 6-1, at Hillside Courts.
Sarah Hall (West Orange, N.J./Mount Saint Dominic Academy) posted the team's lone singles victory of the afternoon in come-from-behind fashion. The freshman picked up the 5-7, 6-4, 10-0 win over Dylan Owens in No. 5 singles.
Hall joined sophomore Arielle Shuren (Montebello, N.Y./Suffern) to collect the No. 3 doubles victory against Emma Petersen and Bella Heidenreich.
The Dukes (13-4, 4-0 CAA) clinched the team doubles point however after notching wins in the top two flights.
“JMU is a strong and well-polished team. We battled hard but fell short. This was a great experience for our young squad as we look to continue CAA match play."
