Blue Hens Finish Fifth, Slane Tied For 10th at Kingsmill Intercollegiate

Andi Slane tied for 10th as the Blue Hens concluded play at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
Delaware entered the day in third place but slipped two spots after carding a 326 team score on Tuesday, finishing with a three-round total of 939. Toledo finished first out of 19 squads with a 908 score, followed by Penn (916), William & Mary (923), Boston University (925) and the Blue Hens.
Slane fired a five over par 77 during her final round on the par 72, 6,043-yard River Course at Kingsmill Resort, tying for 10th place with a 13 over par score of 78-74-77-229. Vimonthip Benjasupawan finished with a 17 over par 77-76-80-233 to tie for 23rd place, while Nathalie Filler carded a 19 over par 75-78-82-235 to tie for 28th place.
Valentina Mueller tied for 59th place with a 27 over par 75-81-87-243, while Ashley Dingman recorded a 29 over par 77-81-87-245 to tie for 64th place.
Sathika Ruenrong of Toledo was the tournament medalist as she posted a one-shot victory with a one over par score of 71-73-73-217.
Delaware returns to the course on Friday when the Blue Hens take on Georgetown in a dual meet at Four Streams Golf Course in Beallsville, Md.
