Blue Hens Quartet Honored with CAA Postseason Accolades

RICHMOND, Va. – With the regular season at a close and the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament on the horizon, the University of Delaware women's basketball team had four student-athletes recognized by the CAA head coaches for their athletic and academic accomplishments.
Senior Courtni Green (Winchester, Va./Millbrook) collected All-CAA Second Team honors for the first time in her career while junior Erika Brown (Haledon, N.J./Paterson Kennedy) was named to the Third Team and freshman Nicole Enabosi (Gaithersburg, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel) earned All-Rookie Team accolades. Junior Hannah Jardine (St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada/O'Donel) was tabbed an All-Academic Team selection for the second straight year.
Green currently leads the Blue Hens and is 12th in the league with 12.3 points per game. A sharpshooter from beyond the arc, the guard is second in the CAA with 2.2 three-point field goals made and fourth with a shooting percentage of .371 from downtown. For her career, Green is second in Delaware history with 192 career treys and an 85.8 free throw percentage. Through 117 games played, she has registered 1,183 career points, a mark good for 14th all-time for the Hens.
Brown is second for Delaware with 11.4 points per game and guides the team with 2.5 assists per. An All-CAA Second Team selection last year, the guard recently reached 1,000 career points and is in 25th place in program history with 1,011 tallies.
In her first season in a Blue Hens uniform, Enabosi is 10th in the CAA with 6.9 rebounds per game in addition to 12th with 1.1 blocks and 13th with 1.3 steals per. The forward has started 14 games for Delaware and was the first player in program history to record double doubles in each of her first three career games. Enabosi was a four-time CAA Rookie of the Week pick.
Jardine holds a cumulative GPA of 2.906 as a mechanical engineering major and has collected 7.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game this season. One of the team's co-captains, the forward is a team representative to the Delaware Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and member of the Dean's List. Jardine was also named a PNC Bank Student-Athlete Achiever earlier this season and is a student mentor at Gilpin Manor Elementary School and participant in the Perry Initiative Program.
James Madison guard Jazmon Gwathmey was chosen as the CAA Player of the Year while Kayla Cooper-Williams was tabbed the CAA Rookie of the Year and head coach Kenny Brooks was named the Coach of the Year for the third straight season.
College of Charleston forward Bre Bolden was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year in back-to-back years while Drexel's Meghan Creighton picked up the Dean Ehlers Leadership Award.
Delaware opens the CAA Women's Basketball Championship Thursday with a 2:30 p.m. matchup against Elon University at The Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Md.
