WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team recorded a 297 score during Tuesday's final round at the Greenbrier Collegiate Invitational to finished tied for 12th place out of 17 squads.
The Blue Hens, who posted rounds of 290 and 295 on Monday, finished the tournament with an 882 three-round total. East Tennessee State won the title with an 846 score, followed by Eastern Kentucky at 861 and Western Kentucky at 866.
Delaware senior Kyle Martin carded a two over par 72 on the par 70, 7,287-yard Old White TPC Golf Course during his final round, tying for 22nd place with an eight over par 74-72-72-218. Blaine Lafferty tied for 24th place by finishing with a nine over par 68-75-76-219, while Kieran Purcell fired an 11 over par 76-71-74-221 to tie for 35th place.
Mark Benevento tied for 57th place after carding a 14 over par 72-77-75-224, while Jack Gianniny finished 88th with a 60 over par 86-85-99-270.
Nick Rencis of Old Dominion took home medalist honors by finishing with a three under par 71-71-65-207 at the invitational.
The Blue Hens conclude their 2015-16 season on April 22-24 at the Colonial Athletic Association Championship at St. James Plantation in Southport, N.C.
