Delaware returns to Bob Hannah Stadium for the first time in nearly two weeks this weekend as the Blue Hens begin an eight-game homestand vs. Colonial Athletic Association rival Northeastern.
Delaware (21-11, 4-5 CAA) enters the weekend riding a four-game win streak that includes a CAA road sweep at Hofstra last weekend as the Hens posted wins of 8-4, 13-3, and 8-4 to get back into the thick of the conference race. The Hens outscored the Pride 29-11 and outhit them by a margin of 47-20 in a complete effort that saw Delaware excel not only at the plate, but on the mound and in the field (just 1 error in three games).
Northeastern (16-14, 4-4 CAA) is coming off a 12-9 win over Quinnipiac Wednesday that snapped a two-game losing streak. The Huskies lost 2 of 3 in CAA play last weekend at home, defeating Elon 6-3 in the opener before falling by scores of 2-0 and 3-2.
