Hannah George Named To CAA Softball All-Tournament Team

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- University of Delaware senior centerfielder Hannah George was named to the Colonial Athletic Association Softball All-Tournament Team following the league championship on Friday.
George (Auburn, Calif./Del Oro) posted the first three-hit game of her career on Tuesday, when the Blue Hens opened the tournament with an 8-2 win over Elon. She went 3 for 3 with a pair of runs scored, and blasted a two-run homer in the top of the fifth inning. George then doubled in the seventh inning to ignite a five-run rally, and made a tremendous catch against the centerfield wall in the bottom of the frame.
George made another phenomenal catch against the wall in rightcenter during the second inning of UD's 2-0 loss to James Madison on Wednesday, and caught another ball at the fence during the season finale on Thursday against Charleston.
George appeared in 45 games while making 31 starts, all in centerfield, during her senior campaign, hitting .295 with 26 hits and 20 runs scored.
