Blue Hen Senior Nathalie Filler Earns UD Team Spirit, Most Improved Player Awards

NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware women's golf senior Nathalie Filler earned the UD Team Spirit Award and Team Most Improved Player Award following the Blue Hens' 2015-16 season.
Filler (Bloomfield, Conn./Westminster School), a second team All-CAA selection, was one of two Blue Hens to appear in all 11 tournaments during the season, ranking second on the squad with a 76.72 average round and tying for the team lead with six top-20 finishes. She placed third at the CAA Championship, came in fifth at the UD Invitational, and was Delaware's top finisher at the UNF Collegiate and River Landing Classic.
Filler's 76.72 stroke average is the seventh lowest in a UD single season, while her career-low round of 71 at the Rutgers Invitational on Oct. 16, 2015 is tied for the sixth lowest in school history.
Filler participated in 39 tournaments during her four-year career, while her 79.04 average round is currently the fifth lowest in program history.
