Taylor Hollingsworth Named CAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware senior libero Taylor Hollingsworth was named the Colonial Athletic Association Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league on Monday.
Hollingsworth (Wilmington, Del./Ursuline Academy) was named the Most Valuable Player of the Navy Kristen Dickmann Invitational while leading the Blue Hens to three victories at the tournament. She posted match-highs in digs during all three UD wins, totaling 50 for the weekend for a 5.56 digs average.
Hollingsworth notched 11 digs during Friday's triumph over Coppin State, before adding 20 against New Hampshire and 19 vs. Navy during straight set victories the following day.
Hollingsworth shared CAA Defensive Player of the Week honors with Hofstra's Luisa Domingues. Jessica Lewis of Towson was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week, while Autumn Brenner of William & Mary earned conference Rookie of the Week accolades.
Delaware, which has opened a season with three consecutive victories for the first time since the 2007 season, is back in action this weekend with three matches at the FGCU Hilton Garden Inn Invitational in Fort Myers, Fla.
