Blue Hens Look To Extend Winning Streak This Weekend at Towson, James Madison

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware women's soccer team will look to extend its winning streak this weekend when the Blue Hens play a pair of conference road matches at Towson and James Madison.
UD will take on the Tigers on Friday at 3 p.m. and the Dukes on Sunday at 1 p.m., with live video and live stats available for both matches.
The Blue Hens are 3-8 overall on the season but are the only unbeaten team in Colonial Athletic Association play with a perfect 2-0 league mark. Delaware kicked off its conference schedule last weekend with a pair of 2-1 home victories over Northeastern and Hofstra at Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium.
UD senior forward Madison Brosler was named the CAA Player of the Week on Monday after scoring the game-winning goals in both wins, scoring in overtime off a feed from Jillian Vassallo against Northeastern before notching the first goal of the match vs. Hofstra.
Mikala Kin added a goal and an assist during the pair of victories, while Nikki Adams contributed a pair of assists. Natalie Zelenky, who scored the Blue Hens' second goal against Hofstra, now leads the team with eight points on three goals and two assists.
Towson enters Friday's match with a 4-7-1 record on the year, and the Tigers are 1-1 in the CAA after a 2-1 loss at Elon and a 2-1 triumph at William & Mary last weekend. Natalia Pinkney leads Towson with three goals, while Marissa Green and Elizabeth Coletti have each contributed two goals and an assist.
James Madison is 4-7 overall and 1-1 in the conference heading into the Dukes' home match vs. Drexel on Friday. JMU also opened CAA play last weekend, falling at William & Mary, 3-0, before rebounding with a 3-1 victory at Elon. Ashley Herndon ranks fourth in the league with 14 points on five goals and four assists, while Steffi Page has added four goals and Haley Crawford leads the Dukes with five assists.
The Blue Hens lead the all-time series with Towson, 14-8-2, and have gone 4-1-1 in their last six meetings against the Tigers. JMU holds a 9-4-2 all-time edge over Delaware, with three wins in the last four years.
