Ingelsby, the former Notre Dame assistant hired to lead the UD program in May, welcomes back two starters and 10 letterwinners in addition to three freshmen for his inaugural season in Newark.
The Blue Hens return two of their backcourt starters from a year ago in senior shooting guard Cazmon Hayes and junior point guard Anthony Mosley.
Hayes appeared in 29 games while making 27 starts in 2015-16, when he ranked third on the squad with 11.3 points per game, connected on 53 three-pointers and made a team-leading 29 steals. Mosley, one of two players to play in all 30 games last year, started 26 times while ranking fourth on the team with a 9.7 scoring average and second with both 67 assists and 21 steals.
Senior swingman Devonne Pinkard, who appeared in 21 games while making 13 starts a year ago, is also back after contributing 5.4 points and 3.8 rebounds during his junior year. The Blue Hens also welcome back sophomore Chivarsky Corbett, a CAA All-Rookie Team selection in 2014-15 before he missed most of last season with an ACL injury suffered in November.
Sophomore Darian Bryant, who competed in 32 games for George Washington two years ago before redshirting last season, is also expected to contribute on the wing.
The UD frontcourt will be led by junior Skye Johnson (3.6 ppg) and senior Barnett Harris (2.4 rpg), while sophomore Eric Carter returns after he redshirted last season following a preseason ACL injury.
Freshman guard Ryan Daly, the 2016 Philadelphia Catholic League Player of the Year at Archbishop Carroll High School, and forward Jacob Cushing, a second team Naperville (Ill.) Sun All-City pick, are expected to contribute for the Blue Hens as well.
Delaware opens its 2016-17 season on Friday, Nov. 11 with a home game against Goldey-Beacom, the first of 14 contests the Blue Hens will play at the Bob Carpenter Center this season.
