Brown and Enabosi Guide UD to 71-66 Victory Over Charleston

NEWARK, Del. – Another double double from Nicole Enabosi and a season-high 26 points from Erika Brown and the Blue Hens have found themselves amidst a three-game winning streak following Sunday's 71-66 victory over the College of Charleston at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Enabosi (at left) held the hot hand Sunday afternoon as the sophomore from Gaithersburg, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel registered 23 points on an astounding 8-of-9 shooting from the floor and a perfect 7-for-7 from the charity stripe. The forward added 12 rebounds for her fifth straight game with a double double while also contributing two assists and a blocked shot in 27 minutes.
Brown, a senior from Paterson, N.J./John F. Kennedy, went 9-of-12 from the floor, including four 3-pointers, to go along with five rebounds.
In a game that saw six lead changes and five ties, Delaware broke away in the fourth. The Blue Hens (10-8, 4-3 CAA) went on an 11-2 run early in the fourth quarter and eventually went up by as much as 11 with just over two minutes remaining in regulation.
Junior Makeda Nicholas (North Babylon, N.Y/North Babylon) tallied eight rebounds, six points, four assists and two blocked shots while classmate Sadé Chatman (from St. Paul, Minn./St. Paul Central) collected five rebounds, four points and four assists.
Breanna Bolden posted 23 points and nine rebounds for the Cougars (5-13, 2-5 CAA) while Tanisha Brown neared a triple double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and eight steals.
“This was a pure team victory today. Everyone played exceptionally well and we executed the game plan. We did what we needed to do to win this ballgame. Every game is big in this league as all of the teams are so closely matched.”

HEN SCRATCHINGS
· Nicole Enabosi is the first player since Christina Rible to register at least five straight games with a double double. Rible posted five straight as a senior in 2000-01 and tied Lori Howard's school record with seven during her junior campaign.
· Erika Brown moved into a tie for 12th in school history with Shanda Piggott (1994-98) with 1,223 career points.
· The Blue Hens are 6-2 all-time against the College of Charleston and hold a commanding 4-0 lead over the Cougars in Newark.
