HEN SCRATCHINGS 🐔
• Delaware looks to wrap up its 2017 season on a high note when the Blue Hens make the short trip down I-95 to face rival Towson.
• UD dropped home matches to UNCW, James Madison and Charleston last weekend, including Sunday's home finale vs. the Cougars. Raven Luckett and Daria Robinson were honored in a Senior Day ceremony prior to that match.
• Robinson led the Blue Hens with seven kills during her final match at the Bob Carpenter Center, while Maria Bellinger added six kills and 10 digs. Kori Rasmussen also tied for the team lead with 10 digs, while Courtnie Roberts paced the squad wtih 13 assists and Abby Skryd chipped in 11 assists and five digs.
• Bellinger ranks third in the CAA with 3.78 kills per set and fourth with 4.19 points per set. Maddie Judge is eighth in the league with a 3.39 digs average, while Skryd is ninth with a 5.35 assists average.
• Towson, which sits in second place in the conference standings, has won nine of its last 10 matches including two straight.
• Silvia Grassini leads the Tigers and ranks third in the CAA with a .354 attack percentage, while Anna Holehouse is also third in the league with a 4.99 digs average.
SERIES INFORMATION 💪
• Towson holds a slim 43-40 all-time series advantage over Delaware, and the Tigers have won 10 of the last 13 meetings between the long-time rivals.
• Towson posted a four-set victory over the Blue Hens in the teams' first meeting this season at the Bob Carpenter Center on October. 11. Jocelyn Kuilan led the Tigers with 13 kills, while Carola Biver added 11 of her own. Belinger slammed 15 kills for the Henss, while Bailey Pearlman contributed 11 on the night.
