STORYLINES
    • Ninth-seeded Delaware takes on eighth-seeded Hofstra during the first round of the CAA Tournament. The winner will face top-seeded UNCW on Saturday at 12 noon in the quarterfinals.
   • Hofstra swept the regular season series with the Blue Hens, posting a 58-56 win at the Bob Carpenter Center on Dec. 31 and a 73-65 triumph at the Mack Sports Complex on Feb. 2.
   • Hofstra leads the all-time series with Delaware, 54-31, and the Pride has taken the last six meetings in the series.
   • Friday's game will be the seventh postseason meeting between Delaware and Hofstra, with the Blue Hens winning four of the first six meetings. UD and Hofstra have played twice in the CAA Tournament, with the Blue Hens posting CAA Quarterfinal victories in 2013 and 2014.
   • Ryan Daly, the leading freshman scorer and rebounder in school history, has reached double figures in nine straight games, the second longest streak by a UD rookie in school history.
   • Daly was named the CAA Rookie of the Week a school-record six times this season.
   • Cazmon Hayes scored five points during the regular season finale at Elon, becoming the 33rd player in school history to reach the 1,000-point mark.
   • Eric Carter averaged 13.0 points and 8.0 rebounds during UD's final two regular season games at Charelston and Elon.
