Rowing Finds Success at Mason Invite

FAIRFAX STATION, Va. -- The University of Delaware rowing squad enjoyed a successful afternoon Sunday at the Mason Invite hosted by George Mason University.
The Regatta, which was held on the Occoquan Reservoir, featured schools from the Colonial Athletic Association, Big 12, and Atlantic 10 conferences.
The day's highlights included the Blue Hens First Varsity Eights crew finishing third in the A final (6:47.51). The First Varsity Eight earned the spot in the final by winning the CAA heat, defeating conference foes Eastern Michigan and Buffalo.
Other results included the Second Varsity Eights (7:04.30) finishing second in the B final, the Third Varsity Eights (7:15.92) placing second in the A final, the Varsity Fours (7:42.94) finishing third in the A final, and the Second Varsity Fours posting first (7:59.00) and second (8:20.18) finishes in the B final.
The Blue Hens return to the river Saturday when they race Temple, Navy, and West Virginia in a four-way meet on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia.
