Delaware to Host Delaware Open Track & Field Meet Saturday at Grant Stadium

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware's Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium will the hub of activity this Saturday as the Blue Hens host the annual Delaware Open Track & Field Meet.
Hundreds of athletes from 17 schools from the region and eight track clubs will be on hand for the all-day event, which begins at 10:30 a.m. with the women's hammer throw, men's long jump and women's pole vault.
Competition will be held in 40 events with the first track event scheduled for 12 noon when the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase gets underway.
College expected to compete are Coppin State; Delaware; Delaware State; Franklin & Marshall; Harcum Junior College; Howard Community College; Mansfield; McDaniel; Monroe College; Rowan; Salisbury; Seton Hall; St. Peter's; Stockton; Temple; Towson; and Wesley.
Club teams expected to compete are Ballistic Response Athletics; Flyknits; Potomac Valley Track Club; Shore AC; Thoroughbreds TNT International Racing; Woodbridge CERT; and YGTC.
