Blue Hens' Weekend Series vs. UNCW Altered Due To Impending Inclement Weather

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware softball team's home weekend series against UNCW has been altered due to impending inclement weather in the area.
The Blue Hens and Seahawks are now scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m., and a single game on Sunday at 12 noon at the UD Softball Stadium. Delaware's Senior Day ceremony is scheduled to take place prior to Saturday's twinbill.
Delaware is 21-27 overall and currently sits in sixth place in the CAA standings with a 7-11 league mark heading into this weekend's series. The Blue Hens need to win all three games vs. the Seahawks, and have either Elon get swept by James Madison or Hofstra get swept by Drexel, to qualify for next week's CAA Tournament.
UNCW is 31-13-1 overall and 10-7 in the CAA, and has already secured a spot in the conference tournament.
