University of Delaware Men's Basketball Announces Colonial Athletic Association Schedule

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware men's basketball team's entire 2017-18 schedule is set as the Colonial Athletic Association announced its conference slate for the upcoming season on Tuesday.
The Blue Hens, who announced their 13-game non-league schedule last week, will then play 18 conference games featuring home and home series with the other nine league schools. UD will play 15 games at the Bob Carpenter Center this season, including the home opener vs. Wesley on Friday, Nov. 17.
Delaware opens its CAA slate with a challenging southern trip, taking on defending CAA champion UNCW in Wilmington on Dec. 30 before heading to Charleston to face the league runner-up Cougars on Jan. 2. The Blue Hens' conference home opener will take place on Jan. 5 against William & Mary, followed by home contests against UNCW on Jan. 7 and Drexel on Jan. 11.
Delaware will then play three straight games outside of Newark, traveling to James Madison on Jan. 13 prior to a northern road swing the following week at Hofstra on Jan. 18 and Northeastern on Jan. 20.
The Blue Hens kick off their second three-game homestand of the season on Jan. 25 vs. Charleston, before welcoming Hofstra to the BCC on Jan. 27 and Towson on Feb 1. Following a road contest at Elon on Feb. 3, Delaware returns home on Feb. 8 to host Northeastern.
UD heads south to face William & Mary on Feb. 10, and makes the short trip to Towson on Feb. 15 before hosting Elon on Feb. 17. The Blue Hens play their final road game at Drexel on Feb. 22, prior to wrapping up the regular season with a home contest vs. James Madison on Feb. 24.
For the second consecutive year, the CAA Tournament will be held at the North Charleston (S.C.) Coliseum on Mar. 3-6.
