HEN SCRATCHINGS 🐔
• Delaware is looking for its first win of the season as its travels to Washington, D.C. for its final road tournament this weekend after suffering a 3-1 defeat to Boston College at the Sonesta Hotel Philadelphia Cherry & White Challenge last weekend. The Blue Hens won the first set but dropped the following three to the Eagles last Saturday. The Blue Hens were also scheduled to face Miami (Fla.) on Friday at the tournament, but the Hurricanes cancelled their trip due to Hurricane Irma.
• Boston College defeated Delaware for the first time in four all-time meetings, cutting the Blue Hens' advantage to 3-1.
• Freshman libero Maddie Judge and sophomore outside hitter Maria Bellinger represented the Blue Hens on the All-Tournament Team. That marked Bellinger's third straight week as Delaware's All-Tournament representative. Judge led the Blue Hens with a career-high 29 digs while Bellinger led the team in kills for the seventh consecutive match, dishing out 14 on the day and currently ranking fourth in the CAA with 3.75 kills per set.
• UD junior setter Abby Skryd handed out 16 assists for Delaware during the match last weekend, as her 7.38 assists average is good for fourth in the league, and Courtnie Roberts contributed a season-high 12 assists of her own.
• Daria Robinson added six kills of her own, while Brooke Robertson and Bailey Pearlman added five apiece.
• Delaware held an 8-5 edge in blocks, with four contributed by Raven Luckett who leads the team with a blocks per set average of 1.08.
