Blue Hens Tumble to Buffalo on First Day of Harvard Fall Classic

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Delaware continued its season Friday against Buffalo on the first day of the Harvard Fall Classic.
In singles action, sophomore Brooke Pilkington (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) earned her third win of the season by defeating Chantal Martinez Blanco, 7-5, 6-1.
Pilkington paired with junior Sara Komer (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) for the 6-2 doubles victory over Tanja Stojanovska and Anna Savchenko.

“We were competitors on court today. In terms of results, the bottom line is that Buffalo executed better for longer stretches of time today. We got ourselves the chances we wanted, so tomorrow will strive to do that again and execute more often. Doubles was exciting all around and the way we rebounded following singles is a testament to how competitive this group is.
