Blue Hen Volleyball to Face Boston College This Weekend at Temple's Cherry & White Challenge

• Delaware is looking for its first win of the season after falling short at both the WVU Invitational season opener and Yale Invitational last weekend. Delaware returns to action this Saturday after dropping three matches at Yale. Following a three-set loss to host Bulldogs last Friday, the Blue Hens dropped a pair of three set-matches to Clemson and Rhode Island the next afternoon.
• Sophomore outside hitter Maria Bellinger represented the Blue Hens on the Yale Invitational All-Tournament Team, her second straight week as Delaware's All-Tournament Team respresentative. Bellinger led UD in kills during all three matches, surpassing the 400-kills mark for her career, and currently ranks third in the CAA with 3.80 kills per set and fourth with 4.30 points per set.
• Junior setter Abby Skryd dished out 67 assists during the three matches last weekend, as her 8.05 average ranks her fourth in the league.
• Raven Luckett posted a career-high six blocks against the Tigers (her previous career-high in blocks was two.)
• The Tigers were the first of two ACC opponents for the Blue Hens, who take on Boston College this Saturday.
• The Blue Hens were also scheduled to face Miami (Fla.) on Friday at the tournament, but the Hurricanes canceled their trip due to Hurricane Irma.
SERIES INFORMATION 💪
• Delaware leads the all-time series with Boston College, 3-0. The Eagles and Blue Hens will be facing off for the first time since the 2015 season, when Delaware recorded a three-set victory at the UNH Invitational. The Blue Hens posted a 3-1 triumph over the Eagles in the 2007 UD Invitational.
• The Eagles, who were picked 14th in the ACC Preseason Poll, posted a five-set win over Bryant at last weekend's Beantown Challenge tournament but also fell to Princeton and North Texas at their home invitational.
