Justina Mascaro Tabbed CAA Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Delaware guard Justina Mascaro earned her first-ever CAA Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week accolades Monday, as announced by the league office.
The Bethel Park, Pa. native helped the Blue Hens to a 2-0 week by averaging 5.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 16.0 minutes off the bench.
In Friday's 58-51 victory at Hofstra, Mascaro posted five points, a rebound and a steal. She followed with five points and five rebounds in Sunday's 51-49 win over Towson.
Mascaro has appeared in all 16 games for the Hens (11-5, 4-1 CAA) this season and averages 3.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.
Kelsi Lidge (Drexel) and Kamiah Smalls (James Madison) shared CAA Player of the Week honors.
Delaware continues CAA play with a trip to North Carolina this coming weekend. The Blue Hens play at UNCW Friday at 7 p.m. before taking on Elon at 1 p.m. Sunday.
