Lizzie Oleary Garners CAA Rookie of the Week Accolades

RICHMOND, Va. – Delaware forward Lizzie Oleary earned her first-ever CAA Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week accolades Monday, as announced by the league office.
The Willow Grove, Pa. native helped UD to a split last week, averaging 9.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting .615 (8-for-13) from the field in two games.
In Friday's 82-49 win at UNCW, Oleary tallied six points and two rebounds. She followed with a season-high 13 points while tying a season-best with seven rebounds in Sunday's loss at Elon.
Oleary has appeared in all 18 games for the Blue Hens (12-6, 5-2 CAA) and leads the UD freshmen with 4.4 points and 2.7 rebounds per contest.
Elon's Malaya Johnson collected CAA Player of the Week honors while Oleary shared Rookie of the Week accolades with the Phoenix's Saadia Munford.
Delaware returns home to host Northeastern Friday at 7 p.m. and UNCW Sunday at 1 p.m.
