HEN SCRATCHINGS 🐔
• The Blue Hens look to snap a three-game losing streak tonight by hosting the Hofstra Pride.
• Delaware suffered a 62-54 home loss to CAA preseason favorite Charleston on Thursday night at the Bob Carpenter Center.
• Ryan Allen scored a team-high 19 points and drained five three-pointers for the Blue Hens, reaching double figures for the 15th time in 17 games. Allen tied the UD single game record by attempting 14 three-pointers.
• Ryan Daly added 12 points and eight rebounds, as he scored in double digits for the 20th game in a row. However Daly suffered a left ankle sprain in the final minute and is doubtful for tonight's game.
• Eric Carter narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. He currently ranks fourth in the CAA with 8.7 rebounds per game.
• Hofstra and Delaware are playing for the second time in 10 days, as the Pride posted a 90-63 victory at the Mack Sports Complex on Jan. 18. Desure Buie finished with career-highs of 20 points and eight assists to lead the Pride, while Allen paced the Blue Hens with 16 points.
• Hofstra leads the all-time series with Delaware, 55-32, and has won seven of the last eight meetings between the schools. The Pride has also won the last three matchups in the Bob Carpenter Center.
• The UD coaching staff will again be wearing sneakers on the sideline in support of the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative.
