Delaware Closes Fall Season with Second Place Finish at Blue Hen Invitational

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The University of Delaware women's golf team closed out its 2018 fall season this weekend by finishing in second place at the Blue Hen Invitational.
Delaware tied for the lowest team round of the day with a 310 on Sunday, finishing with a three-round total of 893. Seton Hall, which also fired a 310 during its final round, captured the 13-team title with an 890 score.
Blue Hen junior Ariane Klotz tied for the lowest individual round of the day by carding a two over par 73 during a very windy day on the par 71, 5,932-yard Rehoboth Beach Country Club course. Klotz tied for fifth place among the individuals by finishing with a 10 over par 78-72-73-223.
Sophia Dieter tied for 10th place with an 11 over par 73-72-79-224 during the weekend, while Thitaree Sakulbunpanich fired a 12 over par 71-73-81-225 to tie for 13th place. Mackenzie Dieter tied for 19th place with a 15 over par 70-79-79-228, while Ashley Dingman cared a 19 over par 73-80-79-232 to finish in a tie for 32nd place.
Valentina Mueller led the Delaware "B" team by tying for 39th place with a 22 over par 76-80-79-235. Kylie Greulich carded a 28 over par 78-80-83-241 to finish in 54th place, while Isabella Rimton tied for 58th place with a 32 over par 84-78-83-245.
Other finishers for the Blue Hens included Josefina Fernandez-Davila (T-62nd, 82-81-87-250), Aashaka Desai (T-62nd, 79-77-94-250), and Siena Ferrick (69th, 89-83-87-259).
Elizabeth Win of Seton Hall was the tournament medalist with a three over par 69-74-73-216, while Sarah Kahn of High Point finished two shots back.
