HEN SCRATCHINGS 🐔
• Delaware heads to the state of Florida for the second of two consecutive weekends to play five games at the Citrus Classic.
• The Blue Hens open play at the invitational with an exhibition game against the Czech National Team before facing UMass, Ball State, Robert Morris and Binghamton.
• UD picked up its first win of the season last Sunday with a 5-1 triumph over Albany. Mariah Kondravy delivered an RBI single and solo home run, while Sarah Piening picked up the win in the circle after allowing just one run on two hits in five innings.
• Kondravy and Anna Steinmetz are currently tied for the school record with 27 home runs.
• Giovanna Kolofer hit safely in all five games at last weekend's Madeira Beach Invitational and leads the team with a .368 batting average.
• Kolofer, Kondravy and Mattie Nuccio are tied for the team lead with three RBI apiece.
SERIES INFORMATION 💪
• Delaware will be facing UMass for the first time in school history.
• Ball State has won both previous meetings over the Blue Hens, with victories in 1996 and 2011.
• The Colonials have taken both prior meetings with Delaware, 2-1 in 2011 and 5-1 in 2014.
• Delaware and Binghamton have split six all-time matchups between 2002 and 2012.
