HEN SCRATCHINGS 🐔
• Delaware plays its final road tournament of the non-conference season with five games at the Liberty Softball Classic.
• Mariah Kondravy leads the Blue Hens with a .324 batting average and 12 hits, and last weekend became UD's career leader with 328 total bases. She is also the school's leader wtih 48 doubles and 146 RBI.
• Giovanna Kolofer ranks second on the team by hitting .321, and is tied for the team lead along with Anna Steinmetz with nine RBI.
• Steinmetz is batting .303 on the year with team-bests of eight runs scored and three homers. She belted a pair of longballs at last weekend's Citrus Classic, giving her a school-record 29 for her career.
• Leanna Gearhart has scored seven runs on the year and now has crossed the plate 134 times for her career, one shy of the school record.
• Blue Hen assistant coach Sammi Shivock returns to her alma mater this weekend. Shivock, a 2014 Liberty graduate, was a 2013 NFCA All-Region selection as a shortstop for the Flames, and currently is tied for fifth in program history with 114 runs scored, sixth with 26 homers, and ninth with 109 RBI.
SERIES INFORMATION 💪
• Delaware will be facing Baylor for the first time in school history.
• The Blue Hens and Liberty have split four all-time meetings, all coming between 2004 and 2008
• Delaware holds a 2-1 advantage over Ohio University, but the Bobcats posted a 9-4 victory last year at the Tennessee Invitational.
