HEN SCRATCHINGS 🐔
• Delaware continues its homestand this weekend by hosting Charleston in a three-game series at the UD Softball Stadium. The Blue Hens and Cougars will play a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday, UD softball's Alumni Day. Action will begin at 12 noon on both days.
• In last weekend's home series vs. Hofstra, Mariah Kondravy led the Blue Hens with six hits, one double and two RBI, posting a .600 batting average. Kondravy increased her career total to 223 hits and is 16 shy of tying the school record. She also increased her UD doubles record to 55 and RBI record to 159.
• Giovanna Kolofer slammed five hits to go with two runs scored over the weekend while Reyna de Jesus and Leanna Gearhart each posted three hits. de Jesus led the Blue Hens with three RBI along with two doubles against Hofstra.
• Gearhart stole one base against the Pride, increasing her school record total to 103. She is ranked first in the CAA with 15 on the season. Gearhart also ranks fourth in school history with 191 hits.
• Anna Steinmetz added two hits on the weekend to go with one RBI, increasing her career total to 123, second most in Blue Hen history.
• Alyshia Dellatore and Mattie Nuccio both delivered two doubles over the weekend.
• Charleston, which ranks fifth in the conference with a 4-8 CAA record, dropped two of three games to James Madison last weekend.
• The Cougars rank second in the CAA with 351 hits on the season and third with 224 runs scored, led by Taylor DuPree (57 hits, 37 runs).
• DuPree paces Charleston with a .393 batting average while Kelly Sinclair leads the squad with 37 RBI.
SERIES INFORMATION 💪
• Charleston leads the all-time series with Delaware, 10-4, since joining the conference in 2014. Last year the Cougars took two of three regular season meetings in Charleston before posting a 5-0 win over the Blue Hens at the CAA Tournament.
