Ariane Klotz Named First Team Women's Golf All-CAA, Thitaree Sakulbunpanich Tabbed Rookie of the Year

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen sophomore Ariane Klotz was named to the first team All-Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf squad while freshman Thitaree Sakulbunpanich was selected the CAA Rookie of the Year on Wednesday.
Klotz, who earned the conference Rookie of the Year award last year, was named first team All-CAA for the second consecutive season. She set a UD single season record with a 74.28 average round, and was one of three Blue Hens to compete in all 11 tournaments this year. Klotz, a three-time CAA Women's Golfer of the Week honoree, posted seven top-10 finishes on the season and was Delaware's top finisher seven times.
Klotz finished in second place at the Harvard Invitational and capped her season by tying for second place at the CAA Championship, earning All-Tournament Team honors. Her 74.81 career average round is the lowest in school history by two strokes.
Sakulbunpanich, who was also named to the second team All-CAA, ranked second on the team with a 74.33 average round after appearing in the final seven tournaments of the year. She tied for third place at the Harvard Invitational, placed seventh at the Delaware Invitational, and was ninth at the CAA Championship. Sakulbunpanich was also the Blue Hens' top finisher at the Westbrook Invitational and the Henssler Intercollegiate.
