• Delaware plays its final road games of the regular season this weekend when the Blue Hens take on UNCW in a three-game set at Boseman Field.
• The Blue Hens are tied for seventh place in the CAA standings with a 3-12 mark but are just two games behind the Seahawks, who sit in fifth place with a 5-10 record. The top five teams advance to the league tournament on May 9-11.
• Delaware is coming off a dramatic 3-2 win over Charleston on Sunday, as Sarah Bessel singled home Alyshia Dellatore with the winning run in the bottom of the sixth. Anna Steinmetz delivered two RBI singles earlier in the game, while Jordan Cargile picked up a complete game victory in the circle.
• Mariah Kondravy leads the Blue Hens with a .336 batting average, 42 hits and 10 doubles this season, and with 227 career hits, is 12 shy of the school record. Kondravy is already UD's career leader with 55 doubles and 159 RBI.
• Steinmetz is hitting .319 with team-highs of seven home runs and 31 RBI, while Giovanna Kolofer ranks third on the squad with a .286 batting average. Leanna Gearhart is hitting .281 with a team-leading 21 runs scored, while her 17 stolen bases are the most in the CAA.
• Kelsey Bryan paces the Seahawks with a .302 batting average, 39 hits, 20 runs scored and 15 steals, while Lacey Fox leads the squad with 10 doubles and 21 RBI.
SERIES INFORMATION 💪
• Delaware leads the all-time series with UNCW, 32-14, and swept the Seahawks in a regular season series last year in Newark with three one-run victories. However UNCW snapped a five-game losing skid to the Blue Hens by posting an 11-3 verdict at the CAA Tournament.
