TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of Delaware women's tennis team was recognized recently by the ITA as an All-Academic Team while four Blue Hens were also honored for their hard work in the classroom during the 2017-18 season.
As a program, Delaware women's tennis has been acknowledged as an ITA All-Academic Team 11 times since the program's inception in 2002. Additionally, 20 Blue Hens have also been honored as ITA Scholar Athletes, with many earning multiple-year accolades.
Juniors Sarah Hall (West Orange, N.J./Mount Saint Dominic Academy) and Sara Komer (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) joined sophomore Brooke Pilkington (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry) and senior Amanda Studnicki (Normal, Ill./Normal West) as 2017-18 ITA Scholar-Athletes. Studnicki was a four-year recipient while Hall and Komer garnered the accolades for the second straight season. The award is the first for Pilkington.
