NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware women's golf team will compete in four tournaments and will again host the Blue Hen Invitational as UD's fall schedule was announced Friday.
The Blue Hens, led by eighth-year head coach Patty Post, open the campaign at the Golfweek Progarm Challenge at Caledonia Golf Course in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Sept. 9-11. Delaware will then compete in the Golfweek Conference Challenge at Red Sky Golf Course in Vail, Colo. on Sept. 24-26.
The Blue Hens then head south for the Old Dominion Invitational at Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach, Va. on Oct. 5-7. For the sixth consecutive year, Delaware will conclude its fall season by hosting the Blue Hen Invitational at Rehoboth Beach Country Club in Rehoboth Beach, Del. on Oct. 20-21.
UD returns its entire roster from last year's squad that posted four top-10 finishes and placed third in two other tournaments. Junior Ariane Klotz, a first team All-CAA selection, paced the Blue Hens with a 74.28 average round and seven top-10 results, while Thitaree Sakulbunpanich recorded a 74.33 stroke average while earning CAA Rookie of the Year honors. Senior Ashley Dingman was third on the team with a 76.56 average round and captured medalist honors at the Blue Hen Invitational.
