MIAMI, Fla. – Looks like Miami is treating the University of Delaware volleyball team just fine.

Delaware set the tone early on finishing the first set on a 23-7 run en route to a 23-10 first set victory. The Blue Hens would do much of the same in the second set, before clinching the match with a 25-18 win in the third.
As a team, Delaware hit .333 with four different Blue Hens had at least five kills, led by Cailey Bracken, who finished with three on the day. Junior Bailey Pearlman was outstanding all match long, finishing with seven kills on the day and a .778 hitting percentage.

"It was a great first match for us. It took us a little while to get going, but once we did, our energy level was consistent throughout. We got to work a few different lineups and got to see some of our freshman gain valuable experience. I thought Bailey had a great match, doing really good things offensively for us. Julia had a solid game at the net as well. WE are looking forward to carrying our energy into our match later tonight against a good FIU team. " Head Coach Sara Matthews
"I think we executed our game plan successfully on both the offensive and defensive side. As a team, we arrived at the gym this morning focused in and ready to play hard. We had a lot of girls go on runs serving tough from behind the line, getting the other team out of their system, which makes it easier for our blockers to be in the right places. Getting to have some new faces on the court today was great because it showed the depth that we have this season." Junior Bailey Pearlman
