Delaware Opens Weekend at 10th Annual Saint Joseph’s Invitational

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Blue Hens kicked off weekend action Friday with competition at the 10^th Annual Saint Joseph's Invitational.

Delaware's two doubles teams went down in tough fashion as the pairs of Nathan Benyowitz and Luis Molina and Asdrubal Marcano and Luis Marcano each fell to their opponents by a score of 9-7.

Asdrubal Marcano also picked up a hard-fought Flight 4 loss to Mary Washington's Tyler Kane, 6-3, 6-0, in the round of 32.

The Hens continue singles play at 9:15 a.m. Saturday as Benyowitz takes on Cody Kim (Johns Hopkins) in Flight 2 and Luis Marcano faces Robbie Simon (Johns Hopkins) in Flight 4 while Molina meets Oskar Lusti (Lewis) at 10:30 a.m. in Flight 2.
