Blue Hens Finish in 15th Place at Golfweek Conference Challenge

WOLCOTT, Colo. – The University of Delaware women's golf team recorded its second consecutive round of 303 on Wednesday as the Blue Hens finished in a tie for 15th place at the Golfweek Conference Challenge.
Delaware tied Troy for 15th place out of 18 squads with a three-round total of 918. UCLA easily captured the team title with an 832 score, followed by Pepperdine at 865.
Blue Hen junior Ariane Klotz carded a two over par 74 during her final round on the par 72, 6,320-yard Fazio Course at Red Sky Golf Club, tying for 32nd place in the individual standings with an eight over par 75-75-74-224. Sophia Dieter, who fired a three over par 75 on Wednesday, tied for 40th place with an 11 over par score of 79-73-75-227.
Thitaree Sakulbunpanich carded a 14 over par 75-78-77-230 to tie for 54th place at the tournament, while Ashley Dingman tied for 80th place with a 23 over par 83-77-79-239. Valentina Mueller, who shot a 29 over par 84-84-77-245, tied for 87th place.
Mariel Galdiano was the tournament medalist with a 13 under par 70-68-65-203, while her teammate Patty Tavatanakit finished two shots back.
Delaware returns to action on Oct. 5-7 at the Old Dominion Invitational in Virginia Beach, Va.
