NEWARK, Del. – When it comes to bleeding Blue & Gold, it's tough to top the alumni and support that the men's and women's lacrosse programs at the University of Delaware have behind them.
Those supporters will have even more chances to catch the Blue Hens in 2019 as the University of Delaware and Lax Sports Network (LSN) will simul-stream all home games for the men's and women's programs. It's the only such partnership in the country and will be free-of-charge to fans globally via laxsportsnetwork.com and the LSN app.
"LSN has always been a critical part of expanding the coverage of our sport. They are first-class and have done a terrific job providing great content and perspectives when it comes to all levels of our sport," men's head coach Ben DeLuca said. "This partnership has meant a lot to our program, our alumni and the fans of our program and we're excited to partner once again this year."
In addition to the game broadcasts, Delaware will have features, interviews and exclusive content featured on LSN throughout the 2018 season.
A total of 15 (six for the men, nine for the women) Blue Hen home games will be broadcast in 2019 live from Delaware Stadium. The games will also be available for viewing via LSN's video on demand feature following the events.
"LSN is fortunate to be able to simul-stream Delaware Men's and Women's lacrosse games for the second consecutive season. Delaware does a terrific job delivering its content to its strong fan base and alumni. Hopefully adding Lax Sports Network to its streaming lineup, we can deliver great content to all lacrosse fans," said Rob Wallace, Chief Operating Office at Lax Sports Network."
"We are thrilled to have the opportunity once again to showcase our sport and our conference. Promoting the game and our student-athletes' performances is exciting," women's head coach Kateri Linville said. "It's a huge asset in gaining exposure for our program and continue to give our alumni and fans a chance to stay connected."
The games will still be available on bluehens.com, in addition to laxsportsnetwork.com and the LSN app.
