Five Blue Hens Named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Delaware softball team features five players who earned Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2018-19 season, the NFCA announced on Wednesday.
Sarah Bessel, Chayanna Gallardo, Hanna Garber, Miranda O'Donald and Julia Solderitch represented the Blue Hens on the prestigious list.
The Blue Hens' five honorees were among the record 8,161 student-athletes recognized by the NFCA, including 1,769 at the Division I level. To qualify for the Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must achieve a minimum 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
