Klotz Ties for Fourth Place, Blue Hens Finish Sixth at Yale Invitational

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Blue Hen senior Ariane Klotz tied for fourth place while the Delaware women's golf team finished sixth as UD concluded play at the Yale Invitational on Sunday.
Klotz fired an even par 71 during her final round on the par 71, 6,099-yard Yale Golf Course, posting birdies on the fourth, fifth and 18th holes. She tied for fourth place at the tournament with a two over par 72-72-71-215, and has been the Blue Hens' top finisher in all three invitationals this season.
Thitaree Sakulbunpanich recorded a two over par 73 on Sunday, tying for 32nd place with a 12 over par 76-76-73-225. Lexi Dart, who tied Klotz for the lowest round of the day by a Blue Hen which included four birdies, tied for 34th place at the tournament with a 13 over par 77-78-71-226.
Lene Sperling tied for 49th place with a 17 over par 79-77-74-230, while Kylie Greulich carded a 25 over par 80-80-78-238 to finish in a tie for 62nd place.
Isabella Rimton (78th, 86-81-78-245), Siena Ferrick (T-80th, 84-84-80-248) and Josefina Fernandez-Davila (88th, 88-94-89-271) also competed for Delaware at the invitational.
Ami Gianchandani of Yale was the tournament medalist with a seven under par 206, while Anina Ku of Harward finished second at three under par.
Delaware posted a 289 team score on Sunday to move up four spots and finish in sixth place out of 14 squads with an 896 total. Charlotte was the team champion with an 863 score, while University of Sterling finished four shots back.
