Blue Hens’ Historic Season Comes To Close With Top-10 Finish at NCAA Regionals

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – It was a season to remember for the University of Delaware women's cross country program.
The Blue Hens wrapped up their historic 2019 campaign with the second-best finish ever at NCAA Regionals, claiming a top-10 finish amongst 30-plus teams in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Redshirt junior Mackenzie Jones concluded her Delaware career with the highest individual finish in program history, crossing the line in 13th place.
Jones, who entered the year with a collegiate PR of 21:49, blistered her way to her best collegiate time ever, clocking in at 20:38.6, over 70 seconds faster than her best time prior to this fall.
Delaware then had five more runners place in the top-85 out of the pack of 226 runners from 32 different schools.
