COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Terrapins showed why they are a Top-10 team Sunday afternoon as they topped Delaware, 99-55, at the Xfinity Center.
Junior guard Tee Johnson led the Blue Hens for the second straight game in scoring and finished with 15 points while sophomore Jasmine Dickey contributed 14 points and a team-best seven rebounds for Delaware.
The Hens struggled with their ball handling in back-to-back contests and committed 25 turnovers, which lead to 41 points for the Terps.
POST-GAME QUOTES
Head Coach Natasha Adair
"You come into the Xfinity Center and go up against the No. 8 team in the country and you know it's going to be a battle. You have to play a perfect game when you're playing Maryland, especially on their home court. It's just the third game of the season and we will live to fight another day. It's a long season for a reason and the schedule was created the way it was to build some toughness."
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
· Sunday, November 24 – Delaware at UCF – 2 p.m. – Addition Financial Arena (Orlando, Fla.)
· Friday, November 29 – Delaware at Cal State Fullerton – 9 p.m. – Titan Gym (Fullerton, Calif.)
· Saturday, November 30 – Delaware vs. Santa Clara – 5:30 p.m. – Titan Gym (Fullerton, Calif.)
