Novice 8 earns the bronze in final event of fall

PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J. – The Delaware rowing team debuted its Novice 8 Saturday at the 1969 Cup and the group opened their collegiate careers with a third-place finish on Lake Mercer.

In their opening heat, the Blue Hens came in with a time of 8:44.91 and vastly improved in the finals, timing in at 8:02.33 for the bronze.

The Second Varsity 8 drew a sixth-place finish with a finals time of 7:31.41 while the Varsity 8 placed 8^th with a finals time of 7:21.51

That was the final event of the fall season for Delaware as the Blue Hens will open the spring with an opener at Saint Joe's, March 14 of the New Year.
