Halle Kisamore Named CAA Softball Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Delaware freshman third baseman Halle Kisamore was named CAA Softball Rookie of the Week on Tuesday following her impressive performance at the Madeira Beach Invitational.
Kisamore (Reading, Pa./Exeter) led the Blue Hens with eight hits during their five games at the tournament, tying for the team lead with a .500 batting average, five runs scored, five RBI and three steals.
Kisamore finished 3 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 9-1 win over Butler, and went 2 for 3 with a double and two runs scored that night vs. Murray State. She again finished 2 for 3 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored during the 10-0 shutout of Monmouth on Saturday, and delivered a two-run single against Belmont on Sunday.
Kisamore has started all eight games at third base for the Blue Hens, batting .360 with nine hits, six runs scored and six RBI.
Delaware, which is 4-4 on the season, returns to action this weekend at the Jacksonville Classic when the Blue Hens play two games against both LIU Brooklyn and Harvard.
