Delaware Holds on For 11-8 Win at La Salle

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Blue Hens closed out February on a high note with their 11-8 win at La Salle Tuesday afternoon.
In what was a back and forth affair, Delaware (2-2) broke a tie score with just under 10 minutes remaining on the game clock and finished the contest by outscoring the Explorers, 5-1.
Sarah Bedard tied a career-high with five points on four goals to lead the Blue Hens while Sydney Rausa added three goals and an assist for her second straight game with a hat trick.
Delaware also saw two goals apiece from Caroline Farley and Christine Long.
Julia Dambly led the Hens once again this season with a game-high five draw controls.
Kate Brewster and Mercy McCarthy split time in the cage with each grabbing two saves and two ground balls.
