Melville, Blue Hens Finish 10th at USF Invitational

TAMPA, Fla. – Jack Melville tied for 10th place in the individual standings while Delaware also finished 10th in the team standings as the Blue Hens wrapped up play at the USF Invitational on Tuesday.
Delaware concluded its second round on Tuesday morning with a 294 score before carding a 307 in the final round, finishing in 10th place out of 15 squads with a 905 total. No. 22 South Florida captured its own invitational with an 854 score, while Illinois State and Elon each tied for second at 866.
After firing a 75 during his opening round on the par 72, 7,004-yard course at Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club, Melville followed with a pair of one under par 71 rounds, tying for 10th place with a one over par 75-71-71-217.
Matt Pulgini tied for 35th place at the tournament with an 11 over par 74-78-75-227, while RJ Wren shot a 13 over par 77-74-78-229 to finish in a tie for 44th place. Cole Alibozek, who carded a 17 over par 78-71-84-233, tied for 57th place.
Trent Wallace of Illinois State finished at 12 under par to post a commanding five shot victory.
