Klotz, Sakulbunpanich Lead Blue Hens to Third Place Finish at UNF Collegiate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Ariane Klotz and Thitaree Sakulbunpanich each finished among the top four individuals while Delaware placed third in the team standings this week at the UNF Collegiate.
After carding the two lowest team rounds in program history on Monday, the Blue Hens followed with a 306 on Tuesday to finish third out of 17 squads with an 875 total. That score is one shot off the UD three-round record set in the Blue Hens' previous tournament at the Kiawah Island Spring Classic.
Tournament host North Florida captured the team title with an 871 score, followed by Mercer at 874 and Delaware.
Klotz fired a two over par 74 during her final round on the par 72, 5,926-yard Jacksonville Golf and Country Club course, finishing in third place with a four under par 67-71-74-212. Sakulbunpanich, who shot a 75 on Tuesday, placed fourth in the standings with a three under par 68-70-75-213.
Klotz's score was the second lowest three-round individual total in UD history, while Sakulbunpanich tied her career low of 213 set in the Golfweek Program Championship on Sept. 9-11, 2018.
Ashley Dingman, who carded an 11 over par 74-75-78-227, and Valentina Mueller, who fired an 11 over par 78-70-79-227, each tied for 37th place at the tournament.
Sophia Dieter tied for 66th place with a 16 over par 74-78-80-232 while her twin sister Mackenzie Dieter, playing as an individual, tied for 72nd place with a 19 over par 79-76-80-235.
Hanna Alberto of Sam Houston State was the tournament medalist with a seven under par 69-69-71-209, while Teresa Conroy of North Florida finished one shot back.
The Blue Hens take the next three weeks off before competing in the Edisto Island Invitational in Edisto Island, S.C. on March. 31-Apr. 1.
