Ariane Klotz Named CAA Women’s Golfer of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen junior Ariane Klotz was named the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.

Klotz finished in third place at the UNF Collegiate this week after carding a four under par 67-71-74-212 on the par 72, 5,926-yard Jacksonville Golf and Country Club course. Her opening round 67 tied for the lowest single round in program history, along with current assistant coach Andi Slane's 67 at the 2015 CAA Championship.

Klotz's total score was the second lowest three-round total in UD history, and she was the Blue Hens' lowest finisher for the fourth consecutive tournament.

Klotz helped lead Delaware to a third place finish out of 17 squads in the team standings, as the Blue Hens fired the two lowest single round scores in UD history and finished with the second lowest three-round total in program history.

Klotz earns the fifth CAA Women's Golfer of the Week award for her career, and the first of her junior season.
